Why does Spare5 need “Offline Access” when I sign in with a Google Account?
If you use a Google Account to sign in to Spare5, you may see a request for the following permission in order to complete your sign in:
"Have offline access" means Spare5 wants the ability to store Google-provided information about your account and profile in our system, without requiring you to be connected to us at that moment. That information is limited to name, email address, and language locale (for example, "US English"). This information is required to log you into the correct Spare5 account, and it may also be used to help target available tasks to your account. These are the only reasons we collect it. It is identical to how we collect similar information from LinkedIn and Facebook, if you use those options instead.
